Hi guys! First of all, happy holidays to everyone! Today, we’ll be playing the Goat Simulator. This is my first time playing a simulator game and I am excited about this!
Goat Simulator is a third-person perspective action video game developed and published by Coffee Stain Studios.
You are playing as the goat who seem to gain the power of free will.
First Impressions
I honestly thought this game is stupid shit. I cannot imagine myself playing as a goat and my first expectation is that I’ll live on a farm full of goats and maybe start a coup d’état against some kind of evil entity or maybe live a quiet life as a goat. My expectations have been broken upon landing into the game – being a goat with free will, I can literally do what I want like below.

BGM
Music is awesome – being in a normal village, playing a dandy song while playing is nice. Sound effects are on point. What I think of an improvement is to have more BGMs than the default ones – though mods are there with their own set of BGMs.
Gameplay
Goat Simulator in terms of gameplay is very simple.
You are able to jump, run, lick objects and drag them anywhere you like and bash objects on your own will. The scoring mechanics seem to be similar to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater as you gain points by performing various stunts and hilarious things such as making cars explode and make you fly!
Thankfully, the loading screen always informs you of the controls – would actually be useful with tips but it’s optional. Controls are simple enough that you can be creative to perform various tricks.
There are numerous quests to do in this game like collecting the golden goat statues scattered throughout the map. There are two maps by default – GoatVille and Goat City Bay and you can jump from one map to another even in-game.
There are also activities you can do which is more fun with friends or other players – yes, Goat Simulator supports multiplayer.
Replayability
Using Steam Workshop, you can make your own goats, levels, missions, game modes, whatever you want – so it’s a plus for me. If you are actually bored with the current Goat Simulator, there’s downloadable content available like Goat Simulator: Waste of Space, Goat Simulator: PAYDAY, GoatZ (zombie-themed DLC) and Goat Simulator MMO which will keep you really busy with these. They’re worth Php 150.00 when not on sale, but worth it.
Specialties
Steam achievements and easter eggs are waiting for you there. I won’t spoil them as they are really interesting and also I haven’t discovered them too! 😛
Summary
- First Impressions: 10/10
- BGM: 7/10
- Gameplay: 10/10
- Replayability: 10/10
- Specialties: 7/10
My Rating: 88% – Goat Simulator is really a great simulation game and a must try if you wanna fool around, but I recommend this when it’s on sale as you can really get the downloadable contents cheap along with the game itself.
Well, that’s it! 🙂 I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post. Until next time! Byiiiieeee~
